The Deimos isn't supposed to hit frigates with its medium guns at short range. Deimos guns will track fine against cruiser-size targets and larger (webbed or not). And if you are so close in that you aren't hitting the cruiser+ size targets, then they aren;t hitting you as well.

In other news, Punishers with medium pulse lasers cannot hit AC Rifters that orbit them closely. However, I don't see any reason yet to give Punishers a tracking bonus. This is small guns on a small ship vs. another small ship.

You merely need to change the way you fly and think. You can no longer speed up to a small ship, turn on web and guns and expect it to melt.

for your first point... missles hit ships just fine at close range...
for your second point pulse arnt ment to be used at ultra close range... blasters are...

before the latest speed nerf.. the deimos while the weakest of the hacs still did ok...
but now it is way was sub par...

furthermore the ships discription is... come to close to this ship and a swift death is your only garentee... well as it stands it should read... come to close and chances are it wont hit you before you kill it...

Still doesn't work with the new 60% webs, and with web, scram and MWD your 3 mid are used up. Go look at the loooong threads in the Game development forum.
